College Scholarships 

PLEASE NOTE: FUNDING FOR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR 2007 

The NAA funds and manages eight scholarships for full-time college students active in the sport. The value of each scholarship is $500. In addition, the Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif. has an archery-oriented scholarship program.

The NAA College Scholarship Committee is responsible for reviewing and selecting the recipients. The committee is comprised of four college division coaches (one from each region) and one JOAD representative.

All full-time students at two or four-year institutions may apply, providing they have been active in the College Division program for at least one year and have competed in at least one USIAC. If more then eight applicants are qualified, only those who have recieved no other archery scholarship will be considered, including scholarships awarded by the USOC. Archers are encouraged to initiate archery programs in his or her chosen school if none exists.

Scholarships are awarded for a one year term and must be re-applied for each year. All materials must be sent to the NAA National Office, 1 Olympic Plaza, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 by December 31.  Applicants must provide the following:

1.) A current transcript from the institution he/she attends, indicating a minimum 2.50 GPA (out of 4.0 maximum) prior to the December 31 submission deadline. 

2.) Two scores of their choice from NAA sanctioned adult tournaments during the 12 months prior to the December 31 deadline and one score from a USIAC. 

3.) Two letters of recommendation.

Applicants must remain eligible at the institution by the rules followed by the NAA College Division.  Students must actively participate and compete in the College Division during the scholarship period. 

Applications for next year's scholarships will be mailed to all college clubs and published on this website.
